Linden Shawl

Finally got some proper shots of my Linden Shawl by Kelbourne Woolens this afternoon! The lighting still wasn't great, but I'm thankful we got to go outside to get some pictures anyhow.  I discovered this pattern at a trunk show and though it isn't something I would normally choose, as soon as I put the sample around my shoulders I knew I had to have one.  I found the dress at Goodwill just recently and it reminded me of some old feed sack fabric my great great grandmother kept.

  1. Hi Jordyn! Alicia mentioned your blog on Plum Dandi group...i love the pictures and your work! Your shawls are very inspiring! I've made a couple but haven't had the nerve to wear them -I feel like they don't fit my style or I'm afraid I'll look like a grandma :) You, on the other hand, rock the shawl!

    1. I recognize that rav id right off - you made the beautiful red sandshore! Thank you for all the encouraging words! You know what - I feel the exact same way about wearing shawls 99% of the time, but here lately I've just thrown caution to the wind and made an effort not to worry about what people think :)

    1. Thank you! It's actually somewhere very dear to me - my great grandaddy's home place. I never saw it until my (now) husband took me on a date there. When I got home and told my Daddy where we went, we realized that my husband's family owns the land. Small world :)
