Lately I've been making time to knit a Venus Cardigan sample for Swans Island. The best part about it - I'll be repaid in yarn credit (yum!). If you haven't tried their yarn you simply must! The design is extremely simple, but I could definitely see it as a wardrobe staple. Since the stockinette lends itself to multitasking, I've been catching up on Anne of Green Gables on Overdrive. This is my first time reading the book, and I'm thoroughly enjoying it! I find myself wishing my imagination was as remarkable as Anne's. Now to find the rest of the series...
In other news, I got this lovely little skein this week. I didn't really need it, but I had $5 off, and then Eat.Sleep.Knit offered an additional $5 off as an apology for some sort of glitch in their system, so why not? It's going to be a Lapwing hat. This will be my first time using Spud & Chloƫ and I'm so excited!
That yarn is gorgeous. I may have to try some... And the knitting looks very even too. Nice work:) I spy an Aidez in your header - what kind of yarn did you use for it?
ReplyDeleteThanks! :) I used Quince & Co. Osprey in Frost? for my Aidez. Quince was my first yarn love and is still one of my standbys, but Swans Island is oh so soft!
DeleteThe yarn is very pretty! :) Welcome to Yarn Along!
ReplyDeleteThank you! :)
DeleteBoth yarns are so scrumptious. Congrats on starting your new blog.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I was drawn to your Blueberry linky today. That colorway is perfection!
DeleteWelcome to the yarn along! Your work is lovely, and I envy you your photography skills.
ReplyDeleteThank you for such a nice compliment! I can't take the credit, though - it's all the camera :) And I think grey is my go to color!
DeleteAlso, I love the color choices. I am a fan of greys.
