Some sweet little Misha & Puff bloomers for my little man.  Made the 6-12 month size for a then 3 month old and he is already fitting them pretty snugly without a cloth diaper bum!  Goodness me he's growing way too fast.  Test knitting a pair of sweet little baby britches for him at the moment and he measures for the 18 month size, so we'll see how they fit in a week or two.

Learning to Sew Again

It's been quite some time since I learned to sew and whipped up just a few little things.  Making this bonnet felt like learning all over again, but it was almost like riding a bike and quickly came back to me.  I have been eyeing Briar bonnets ever since I first saw them, but haven't had the money to spend on them for my fast growing little boy.  Instead, I found a free tutorial over at Purl Soho and made my own using some organic cotton bought with a coupon at Jo Ann Fabrics.  Not quite the same, but still oh, so sweet!   As you can see, I hadn't pressed the finished product (I didn't have an ironing board at the time), but it's still pretty darn cute.

While I Was Away

It's sad to say, but in the busyness of divorce, marriage, baby and three moves, I mostly gave up crafting for a while.  A handful of baby things is about all I have to show for the last three years, but boy was that sweet little babe worth it.

The project pictured here (photos by Stephanie Crawford Photography) is The Kumfy Schlutti gown along with The Small Things Bonnet.  Both are knit up in Little Fox Yarn in Vulpine DK in the colorway Nightfall.  A couple of darling little chicken buttons were the perfect finish.
